Company History
Incorporated in 1994 to design, manufacture and distribute on the international market a full line of electronic ballasts for the transit industry. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located near Montreal, Canada. Our transit ballasts are used in busses, trains and tramways built by major transit manufacturers in Europe and North America.
Interballast transit clients list includes major North American and European manufacturers of transit vehicles, transit passenger information systems, transit lighting systems plus transit authorities on both continents.

R&D
Headed by our vice-president engineering who has more than 20 years of experience in designing electronic ballasts, our R&D team is experienced, innovative and versatile. They have satisfactorily solved a number of complex lighting problems presented to us by major clients.

We are proficient in DC ballasts of all voltages, micro ballasts where space and weight are a concern, ballasts for European and North American fluorescent lamps of any type and wattage (T5 16mm, T8 26mm, T12 38mm, compact fluorescent lamps)

Certification
Interballast products meet all relevant certification requirements in North America and Europe: CSA, UL, CE, UTAC. We are familiar with EMI emission control and meet relevant norms such as: FCC, Part 15, Class A and EN61000.
Quality Assurance
All Interballast products have to go through a documented quality control inspection and/or test at each step(8) of the manufacturing process. Ballasts are also submitted to a burn-in test and/or an Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) test before delivery, at clients request.
